Patrick Martinez vs. Arizona

LA-based artist Patrick Martinez proves he isn’t afraid to tackle a controversial issue head-on with this incredible series of one-of-a-kind custom fitted hats, which poke fun at Arizona’s SB1070 immigration law by making a variation on the Major League Baseball Arizona Diamondbacks name & logo into a racial slur. In Patrick’s own words, “”I created the hat pieces to visually show the connection between the racist republicans that run the “Arizona Diamondbacks”(a major league baseball team) and how they are helping to push the Arizona SB1070 law by generous funding. I re-named the team with the racist inspired name Arizona Wetbacks because I believe it’s more of a fit based on the racist actions the owners are taking with the SB1070 bill which they are helping to advance. I created three hats for the three players on the diamondbacks of latin decent (Juan Guitterez, Gerardo Parra, and Rodrigo Lopez) that will be celebrated on the field then asked for their papers when they leave it. This bill is a step backwards in terms of progression. It is also a giant slap in the face to the many people that fought for equal rights in the past as well as the present. The SB1070 law has the feeling of the beginning stages of apartheid. This bill should be stopped.” Photos by Chaim Diesto.

BIG SEAN x HIGH RISE

Juun J. Men's RTW Spring 2011

One of my favorite Designers Juun J shows off his Spring 2011 items which consist of the usual things such as layered long and billowing utilitarian parkas, biker jackets and clean-cut tailoring over slouchy drop-crotch leggings. Juun J stays in Rock n' Roll Territory and thats why I love it no reason to deviate from it.

Melissa Shoes X Gaetano Pesce Ankle Boots

When I saw these shoes it was like Lust at First Sight. The Design is pretty innovative created by the famous architect Gaetano Pesce in which he took total control of the design with much creativity. The interesting thing about these shoes is the buyer has the option of cutting away the circles to style them their own way. This is one risk that I think Melissa has invested well in and i'm looking forward to seeing more of her risky collaborations.

These Shoes Kind of Remind me of Some sort of kitchen mat or item used in the kitchen lmao but they are still good shoes in my book. Check out other Items on sale from Melissa by clicking HERE
